A lot of Democrats are going to get primaried, and I think they have no idea. I will gladly vote for any Democrat promising to prosecute all those who are blatantly violating the law.

The more relevant points are:

1) Tariffs are cannibalistic. If they succeed, they fail bc we no longer import.

2) Tariffs are misplaced. In theory we want to onshore high tech manufacturing, but Trump has exempted high tech gadgets from the tariffs.

Hard to argue we were victims of lopsided tariffs when we charged an above median tariff on a trade weighted basis among our largest partners. Far from being a victim, we were active participants.
