I guarantee you there's an enormous amount of faffing around and to-ing and fro-ing with PIF constantly holding things up. Micromanaging but we're told it's the process. Needs to change.

BUT... what has been evident from all but the first window since new ownership is the club acting with seemingly zero to little urgency on transfer targets. Hopefully history doesn't repeat itself.

They do. Gotta trust the key people at the club.

Backup, yeah for sure...but there'll also be plenty of games to rotate the two of them. Rotation is something we're going to have to do a lot more of from next season.
Hopefully he'll buy into that vision.
