This is a very serious topic. But I can't help but notice that the NY Times did not mention the most obvious thing many legacy media outlets and journalists are doing -- obeying in advance and shaping their coverage to be less antagonistic to Trump.

FBI director Chris Wray, in his 60 Minutes interview, mentioned the Jan. 6 defendant convicted of plotting to murder the FBI agents who investigated the rioter on J6 charges.
Generously, at maximum, I think maybe 3% of Americans are aware of that conviction.
