Signs point toward a possible la nina this hurricane season which can increase the frequency of storms. Those on the coast should learn to read the weather models so they can make appropriate safety plans in the case of an event.

We get better over time because of the data we use to train the models. And bow the ability to collect and process that data will be limited.

Its going to take insurance working together with (50!!) regulatory bodies tonget a handle on risk. Rebuilding in a fire or flood zone is a bad idea. Insurance will be priced accordingly. The long term fix is to encourage the pop to move to less risky areas AND adopt more resilient bldg practices.
