Thinking about sharing some photos from over a decade of wandering off the beaten track across most of Somerset. What my friends & I have found is truly astounding.
Here’s a clue to the main contributors of this habitat destruction…

Something for #valentinesday. Just a couple of badgers at a sett in the centre of a town in Somerset. The male had been loitering outside this sett for a number of nights, guarding it maybe or hoping for his moment of lurrrve ❤️ 🦡

Cowslips are in flower on the bank outside Taunton County Courts. Also in the vicinity, last Spring, were Early Purple Orchids plus a Bee orchid. Please @somersetcouncil.bsky.social let the grass grow again in 2025 for #nomowmay

Monday. This badger knows how I feel. Always loved this bit of footage we got at a badger daybed in the middle of a town.

Here’s some activity from this particular sett from previous years.

Making the most of the better weather to visit some badger setts. Uplifting to get out and catch those first signs of Spring. Primroses pushing through as are snowdrops too. Fresh spoil at the sett.
