Nothing, not even the gold that the orange guy surrounds himself with can dignify his racist attacks on the Obamas and other officials. Blaming a staffer does not resolve Trump of responsibility for recent video posting on Trump's own social media. My outrage is not fake.

Watch NOVA's 2022 episode on Arctic Sinkholes, www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/vi... (53:30), and one cannot help but be alarmed at the feedback loop human emissions of GHG has triggered, which are, In effect, inexorably converting the Earth's atmosphere to that of Uranus and Saturn's moon Titan.

In the Arctic, enormous releases of methane, a potent greenhouse gas, threaten the climate.

The SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) had its origins with the first food stamp program (FSP) established in 1939 in the first Farm Bill. A major goal of these programs like that of international food aid has been to address crop surpluses. www.fns.usda.gov/snap/history

Gutting the Mercury & Air Toxics Rule is contrary to the United States's commitment to the Minamata Convention on Mercury to remove anthropogenic emissions and releases of mercury and mercury compounds into the environment. HHS and EPA are acting inconsistently with each other and with science.

Farmworkers are essential workers. What happened to the bipartisan bill that Trump killed? We need guest workers who help feed America. See the cruel chase down of a farmworker: youtu.be/0hOev2uQtN8?...

Trump's deployment of the California National Guard in LA reminds me of the Kent State shooting, when at my university, the National Guard had had no more than one-hour of riot control training, put on their bayonets, and stabbed the press despite the press wearing press badges!

(Cont.) Opportunities for graduate students and fellows to participate in research in their chosen fields will decline. The pipeline for scientists and engineers will suffocate and the United States will continue to fall behind in science and engineering.

Taxing the endowment will negatively impact financial aid support and operating budgets and capital improvements, such as new labs. Decreasing the negotiated indirect cost rate will negatively affect research opportunities.

The current administration is attacking the Earth on which all of us, rich and poor, young and old, depend for life, for food, water, shelter, and a place to raise a family. Yet at the same time, the administration is saying it supports life. The hypocrisy.

The current administration is attacking the most vulnerable among us, all of us, including the poor, the hungry, the sick, the young, the old, the frail, and more, many of whom cannot speak for themselves or are blocked from being able to be heard. The gaslighting is beyond belief.

Why if one arm of government (RFK Jr at HHS) is concerned about mercury causing autism—which has been debunked— would another arm of government (Lee Zelda at EPA) being enthusiastic about gutting the Mercury & Air Toxics Rule? Crazy.
