The CJI Board gathered Oct for its fall meeting. Br. Michael Schöpf, SJ, International Director of JRS, presented on global realities and JRS’s work with the poor & marginalized. The board approved 18 projects, reviewed reports, and advanced key governance matters.

CJI Executive Director Jenny Cafiso and International Programs Coordinator Juan Emilio Hernandez are continuing their visit with Jesuit partners across Africa. In Nairobi, they visited Fr. John Legge, SJ one of only two Canadian Jesuit missionaries still serving overseas.

We were honoured to welcome Fr. Rigobert Kyungu SJ, Provincial for Central Africa Province, and Fr. Paulin Mwibonere S.J, to our Toronto office. Fr. Rigobert is currently visiting Canada, while Fr. Paulin, originally from Kinshasa, DRC, is studying at Regis College.
