Slow progress, but progress nonetheless. I've updated the inventory to be a list instead of a grid. This morning I got items into a "selectable" state which will enable the actual "crafting" to happen in the right pane. #gamedev #playdate

You better believe I'm still stuck trying to get text rendering the way I want. It's looking like the easiest way to get easy, multi-line strings is to make PNGs of it in affinity designer or something. #gamedev #playdate

Having to manually move text around on screen to find bounding boxes is a bit tedious. In that sense, I'm looking forward to making my next game with an engine that handles the small things for you. Looking forward to seeing you, #godot . #gamedev, #playdate

This morning I got the inventory displaying collected resources. Working with Lua tables can be frustrating and unintuitive when you're used to the freedom of debugging in a browser window, but satisfying once they finally work. #playdate #gamedev
