WCK's Hurricane Melissa response expands to Cuba. Working with Friends of Cáritas Cuba & Cáritas Cuba, we’re distributing food kits with enough ingredients for 25 meals. WCK teams are also supplying kitchen equipment to households that lost appliances needed to cook. #ChefsForCuba

80-year-old Maurice, a resident of Brighton in Westmoreland Parish, lost the roof of his home during the storm. Due to his disabilities, he is unable to reach our distribution sites to pick up meals, so WCK’s Karen makes sure to deliver a hot meal and water to his home every day. #ChefsForJamaica

WCK’s #ChefsForPhilippines teams are quickly scaling up our support for families impacted by Typhoon Kalmaegi. We’re delivering thousands of hot meals to communities near Cebu City, including Purok Uno, San Roque, Lamac, and Consolacion. On the menu yesterday: rice, chicken asado, and veggies.

Stalbert’s home in Savanna-la-Mar was completely destroyed by Hurricane Melissa, so now he’s sheltering at a local high school. This Westmoreland town was hit hard, and damage from the storm has isolated the community. (1/2)

WCK's #ChefsForUkraine team visited a temporary housing unit in Makariv, Ukraine, to provide displaced families with new cooking tools. With their new stove, oven, microwave, and more, residents can now cook for themselves and one another—bringing comfort and connection through food.

Denton weathered Hurricane Melissa alone in his late grandparents’ home in Brighton. While the structure is still standing, most of the roof is gone and lots of repairs are needed. WCK is making sure he has access to hot meals while he rebuilds. #ChefsForJamaica

At JFK, our #ChefsForFeds team delivered hundreds of meals prepared by Chef Corps–owned restaurant FIELDTRIP. Across JFK, DCA, IAD & BWI airports, we’ve served nearly 9,000 meals to staff with no pay.

WCK teams are working with our #ChefsForGaza partner Al-Karama Association to distribute flour alongside stoves designed to bake saj, a traditional Palestinian flatbread. We delivered them to displaced families in North Gaza and Khan Younis, restoring their ability to bake their own bread.

📢 WCK Opens North Gaza Field Kitchen
Our teams have resumed large-scale meal production in northern Gaza with the opening of our newest Field Kitchen. On its first day, the team prepared more than 3,000 hot meals for hospitals & nearby communities—and will soon scale up to 40,000 meals daily. (1/2)
