I think I'm emerging from the haze, but for the last six months I've been more depressed than I ever have been in my entire life. Depression is really good at convincing you that all your favorite things are worthless, and that you yourself are worthless to all your favorite people.

I haven't had an alcoholic drink since Thanksgiving! What started as cutting back during election season to avoid self-medicating has turned into 7+ months of alcohol sobriety and I just think that's so neat.

I've been trying to regulate my IG use to cut back on doomscrolling, but I think the algo has defeated me. Here's what I want from IG: a way to keep up with my dumb hobbies and cute friends & reliable news that isn't littered with fearmongering and disinfo. I just don't think that's possible on IG.
