The # of unique female names began its long rise around 1945. Male names didn't start its long rise until the late 1960's. Both climbed until the mid 2000's when both stopped climbing.

Can we outlaw the rubberized coating on plastics that turn into a sticky goo after a few years? Or at least require labeling?

"... it’s far easier to lead ourselves astray when the practical consequences of being wrong are small or nonexistent, while the social consequences of being “wrong” are severe. It’s no coincidence that this describes many controversies that divide along partisan lines."

I'm always weary of pre-trial hype, but if true this is more than a watershed moment. This is species changing.

I'm down the rabbit hole in ICD-10-CM codes. I guess it's not surprising that the category with the greatest number of codes is dislocation and sprain of joints.

What I would NOT have guessed is that "Other disorders of the eyelid" would be the 3rd highest!

Since 1998, Democratic senators have continuously represented more Americans than Republican senators have, but Republicans won control of the Senate in 8 of the last 14 elections anyway.

Likewise, Republican senators have not won more combined votes than Democrats since the 1990s.

The usual suspects are out there yelling "There are 23 million government workers! Fire most of them!" No awareness that most work for local governments, and most of *them* are schoolteachers. Federal employment hasn't grown since the 1950s

I stand by my assessment. The only question I is "will he nominate another "F" or will he nominate a "D"?
Remember as a kid when you got a "D", but you told your parents you got an "F"? And then when you revealed you really got a "D" they were relieved?

That's what is happening with cabinet nominations right now.
