I mean this respectfully but the missing piece here is *with a compliant Congress and SCOTUS*. Biden couldn’t do this because he lacked first the latter then also the former.
Also, any chance Dems had to have a friendly SCOTUS for a decade or more died in 2016. Now we have a long struggle.

JD Vance has mastered the art of sounding confident while talking absolute trash. Obviously there are times when a judge could tell a general how to conduct an operation. Just to pick an, uhh, random example, the general can't quarter troops in citizens' homes without permission.
