Day 140. I haven't been taking a break, despite the seven days since the last post. Drawing every day. I've been committing to actually finish one of my projects, while keeping up on general practices like figure drawing and lines. And here is said first project finished, a little superhero comic!

Day 129, 3 hours of work later, still not very close to finished. All the art advice I read says to challenge yourself but not too much and I might've overshot a little on this one. But using a 50% opacity fill of the same color you're using for the lines makes an interesting shading.

Day 127, today's reference copy was of Magia Bowser. As fun as the lewd parts of Looking up to Magical Girls was, I was particularly blown away by the 'evil impact' frames where Ononaka Akihiro goes all out with the black. Hoping to finish this one tomorrow.

Day 123, tried the "Tomato" focus method from Marc Brunet to pretty decent effect. I've been practicing Hibiki a lot lately, but I also need to learn Lili if my plans for Magical Month 2025 are to come true. Lili is @tamaeftt.bsky.social 's character.

Day 122 Finishing up that work from yesterday, the brush definitely does better inking than sketching, but I still feel like I want a little bit of size-pressure connection, where like, at my normal pressure it's 100% width, but as I come off the page it tapers to like 50%

Day 121, some hair studies of Hibiki from Symphogear, as well as trying out a new brush. I am not sure I like the feel of this brush, but I did use it for sketching instead of lineart, so maybe that's the problem. Maybe it's for inking.
