My pack, empty 3L water bladder, chair, tent, and sleeping bag - along with some other accoutrements weighs 15.79 pounds. I’m wondering if I should just quit thinking about it too much.

A pair of underwear on the ground in the parking lot. They look like they were taken off and dropped in the same orientation someone was wearing them. This isn't a real mystery but it tickled me to see underwear in the parking lot because I'm easily entertained.

Nice little hike this morning. No big deal. Day 1, 2025: crushed.
My buddy Luke and I at the top of the hill having some snacks on the trail. Luke is holding his cat thermos with hot ramen in it. I ate some crackers. We are sitting on large rocks with evergreen vegetation around us. The sky is cloudy and it was around 38 degrees Fahrenheit.

But my favorite part is the secret happy chicken thing I put on the neck block inside for her to find someday.

The back and sides have been done in a french polish. While I'd normally go through several more polishing sessions, for now I need to get things wrapped up and ready to go for Christmas. 2/2

My younger sister painted the front of this Uke for my Great Neice for Christmas. Been working on the finish. I'm not sure I picked the best way to protect the front where the flower is, but it is what it is. 1/2
Concert Ukelele body during construction. There's a blue latex glove inflated in the sound hole to protect the inside from overspray. The front face of the instrument has been painted with Unicorn Spit to illustrate a flower with various interesting green, pink, blue, purple, white, and yellow colorings. There is tape protecting the bridge and neck joint areas for later glue-up.
