Could be an Nvidia thing. Swapped out my 3080 with an old RX 590 and the worst of the latency spikes in Live have gone away.

And unlike Nvidia, the AMD driver doesn't even register in LatencyMon. Hmm.

If you go from Logic or #Reaper to Ableton, it's really apparent.

I could load up 200 random plugins on 50 tracks on a Logic project, on a 5 year old hackintosh, and latency, buffers, performance etc would still not even be a remote concern.

Ableton sputters under a handful of tracks on a new PC.

Be sure to set the wet/dry mix to 100%

Drop a reverb that allows custom impulse response loading onto your master/main bus, locate a measurement for your headphones under the Results folder in the github project, and load the appropriate IR wav file into your reverb.

Now you can toggle calibration on/off at will. #mixing #mastering
