Half of the United States has been slowly and carefully inculcated by Fox News to believe that the other half of the country is their enemy and out to ruin their lives. Once this was established, it didn't take long for those viewers to value hurting these other Americans over helping themselves.

I hope Elon is overestimating his appeal now that people have gotten to know him better and he's begun ransacking our federal government by cutting jobs and benefits. His presence is also a reminder to Wisconsin voters that an outsider is trying to buy their election.

I remember MLK being portrayed by the mainstream media as a troublemaker. After his assassination, that changed, but only after. I was just a kid, but I noticed these things. Maybe we can recognize today as his day and make a donation in his honor. His legacy will last, unlike some others.
