“A perfectly sane intellect is hardly at home in this insane world.” - George Eliot. I like big books and I cannot lie. Maker of typos.
Do they realize that this is not the sweet light crude that is sold on the options boards, but the heavy, polluting crude that US refineries can’t crack?

This is hardcore insight.

Europe steps into the moral leadership of the world.

Please, begin. Because the Bay of Pigs was simply the slaughter of self-exiled Cubans under the aegis of the CIA. Rubio’s wet dream will be much more globally significant, as in: everything is free game.

Crossing paths, I’ve been in Tuscany and Provence for the past 2 miles months, and the bright green cross is everywhere. Barcelona next: should I expect the same convenience?

Props to @repdangoldman.bsky.social for stating this plainly:

"This violation of the United States Constitution is an impeachable offense."

I believe the poster was being sarcastic.

Paranoia runs deep, eh? You don’t even know what Zionism is.

One weird trick, you mean.

General cowardice and likely some collusion amongst some Democrats (“there’s money to be made.” The Republicans are beyond help.

My money is on Mexico. If Trump and sycophants want to display the raw power to establish their sphere of influence, crush your neighbor. Ask Putin.
January 3, 2026 at 7:54 PM
No, we won’t. Only concern is that we had no authority to do this except through dictatorial power on a unstoppable scale.
January 3, 2026 at 7:51 PM
Somebody please explain how a Federal District court has the authority to bomb the capitol and kidnap the president of a sovereign nation (good or bad)? If it’s cool, can we do it to Putin?

Manifest Destiny! Never forget Manifest Destiny! Now renamed “Sphere on Influence.”

Yesterday: “We want nothing to do with nation building.” Ten minutes ago: “The US will run Venezuela for the foreseeable future.”

Who is next?

This has yet to age.
January 2, 2026 at 7:57 PM
Ok, you’re in different realm than the neo-nazis. My apologies.
January 2, 2026 at 7:56 PM
That’s 4 18, but what is the other 4?
January 2, 2026 at 7:54 PM
It’s okay. Contents nay be hot.

Spell out the acronyms and the rest of us who should know will understand.

Here’s what got me: “It’s quite simple. He proves by algebra that Hamlet’s grandson is Shakespeare’s grandfather and that he himself is the ghost of his own father.”
Figure that out and write me.
January 2, 2026 at 7:37 PM
It gets complicated, my friend. Many surrender. If you wish tremendous long page turners with medium or nominal literary acclaim, I’ll be happy to share them.

Tylenol fucks up the liver, but it takes time, particular in someone who purportedly does not drink alcohol.

A dangerous overreaction. The enormous amount of aspirin he is taking daily increases the likelihood of a serious cardiovascular reaction. Baby aspirin (81 mg), at best reduces clotting, but is no longer recommended. It is not a “blood thinner.” What MD recommended this huge overdose?

Good luck, particular with the section known as Night town. It’s weird and baffling by intent. But by the end you will reach Molly Bloom’s soliloquy, which yes, is a treasure I said, yes
