There's an open world? 🫠

Not interested. I only played the races - and mostly Knockout Tour.

I'm really enjoying the story.

Totally understand the complaint about the new characters being unimportant. I'm just happy they tried instead of insisting on using existing characters only.

I'm currently playing Majora's Mask and about to start Ocarina of Time for my annual replay (after finishing Age of Imprisonment).

I have in progress files for The Wind Waker, Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, Oracle of Ages, and OOT Master Quest (which is not listed).

Yes, I am crazy. 🙂

My main goal each year is to finish the first 5 Zelda games.

My secondary goal is to complete the other Zelda games at least once every 5 years (Tri Force Heroes is the first game I'm failing at that for).

This year, I've started multiple games and not finished them.

Folks know me for replaying Zelda games a lot. I keep a chart of games I complete each year (it goes back to 2019 but I only keep 5 years visible on the front sheet).

I was really focused on playing as many as possible for a few years, but I've slowed down for the last couple years.

I remember it once or twice a year, consider borrowing it from a friend, then forget it exists again.

That's not Zelda. Zelda is the green elf.

Virtual Boys are lovely. I hope you find some games you like to go with it.

I highly recommend Mario Clash.

... My current feeling is that V3 is probably safe/not getting worse. Canva wants to take on Adobe, and they want a solid free application to do that.

It may all go downhill someday, but I think that someday is 5+ years away and we may have all found some other new software by then. 🤷‍♂️
November 3, 2025 at 2:59 PM
... If we can all keep V3 (and even share the installer with others) and aren't forced onto the new theoretically worse V3.1, then I think they'll have proven it's a true offline application that we can keep forever (or until the activation servers no longer exist; like most software). ...

This is going to sound very dumb/naive, but...that's not what they advertised. 😆 The final proof will be in however the next big update is rolled out.

They already have the existing Affinity users a bit uneasy. Suddenly taking away features will kill any remaining goodwill. ...

And some of the "AI tools" are mundane things we've been using for ages before all of this hype.

It has prompting, but it's also giving you incredible "AI features" like background removal and subject selection. 🙄

During the announcement the CEO of Affinity insisted that Affinity user data is never used to train AI - but take that as you will.

It's important to remember that Canva is not just AI tools. Paying for Canva unlocks AI features across the whole toolset, so it's not only about Affinity.
November 2, 2025 at 3:35 PM
You need a (free) Canva account to activate the software. I highly recommend jumping into the Canva account settings to check the privacy/data settings. There is an AI training setting in there. It's not clear if it applies to the online Canva tools only or to Affinity as well.
