I made a CR box to place on a classroom wall as
@DtaGuy
has been pioneering. I'm not sure whether my build suits wood or whether injection molded plastic would be better. These pics on the carpet, if that wasn't obvious.

Gotta love Reddit, but the amount of stupid questions being asked by people that may have been smarter previously is shocking. I'd want mods to just delete the posts and maybe direct would-be posters to better techniques for answering their need rather that posting a stupid question to a popular sub

I feel pretty good about measurements. I tested CADR in a 412.8 cubic foot bathroom, filled with nebulized NaCl solution, and mixed with a small fan. I used a Sensirion SPS30 Particle Counter, controlled by an ESP32 μcontroller, streaming into μSoft Excel. See ALT 4 more stuff.

Finally! I built & tested an open-source concept model air purifier that should be good for schools. Lots of air (CADR > 420 CFM), quiet (<45 dBA), uses <9 W, and ‘cause it’s wall-mounted & down-blowing, it moves air in the right direction & takes up no floor space. Always check my ALTs🧵⬇️

Your immune system isn't a Tamagotchi that dies if you don't play with it.

"Immunity debt" is a marketing term to make you blame yourself instead of bad policy.

Getting sick constantly isn't normal — it’s a public health failure.

In my house, we're running a bunch of retail and DIY air filters. These kept me covid free when my spouse bought it home for the first time last year. levoit.com/products/vit... is the only filter we have two of. We run them on lowest speed during the day and sleep-mode at night

A friend included this anti-acknowledgement section on her PhD thesis. She also added the proposition: “Systematic bullying and undermining of girls and women in STEM starts early on and is the reason why they do not stay in science and related fields.”
Absurd we still need to go through this

Here's a preview of an open-source concept model for an air purifier that I think would be good for schools. It’s wall-mounted & down-blowing, but requires ceilings over 9'. 426 CFM CADR @12V, but I'm still checking the noise before publishing details. Maybe a couple weeks. See ALT for info.

From the vantage point of March 2020. UK gov implement stay-at-home orders and didn't say the real why ("because we failed to mitigate an airborne pandemic with improvised means, while we made better solutions"). That would have been cloth masks as Czechia did - www.theguardian.com/world/2020/m...

I made a air-filter for under a bed or sofa. This is the third of these I have made - www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjKN.... Very quiet, and unseen were the goals. Cheap materials, too.

This is the blueprint, Roger: a ruler was used, but no pencils or paper.
