Finally! I built & tested an open-source concept model air purifier that should be good for schools. Lots of air (CADR > 420 CFM), quiet (<45 dBA), uses <9 W, and ‘cause it’s wall-mounted & down-blowing, it moves air in the right direction & takes up no floor space. Always check my ALTs🧵⬇️

The Nukit Lantern 222nm Far-UVC disinfection lamp is back in stock for US and International sales.

nukit222.com/products/nuk...

Far-UVC is effective against all airborne and surface pathogens.

Extensive Third Party Testing- effective, eye and skin safe, no ozone.

Reposts are appreciated🙏🏻

@nukit.bsky.social has posted another outstanding tutorial on 222nm UVC. It's on that other site x.com/NukitToBeSur.... This time she explains radiant power output vs. irradiance at nadir and polar plots. A must-read if you're contemplating UVC and you're at least slightly technical.

@nukit.bsky.social has posted an outstanding modeling effort on her blog at www.nukit222.com/blogs/info/f.... and on that other site x.com/NukitToBeSur.... She not only shows how she did the modeling but also the conclusions she reached and how to think about Far-UVC/air purifier combinations.

@mark-ungrin.bsky.social I'd put this in a chat, but u don't accept them. I really like what you post and your positions but I'm going to have to mute (not unfollow) you because I'm overwhelmed by your reposts. Going thru my overnight feed I got 33 Sbucks to 1 other. None of the 33 were new to me.🥴

Here's a preview of an open-source concept model for an air purifier that I think would be good for schools. It’s wall-mounted & down-blowing, but requires ceilings over 9'. 426 CFM CADR @12V, but I'm still checking the noise before publishing details. Maybe a couple weeks. See ALT for info.

Has anybody called it Elongate yet? If not, I call dibs.

@mark-ungrin.bsky.social I Googled & got--

IPC in NB: IPC may refer to IPC Investment Corp, the Indigenous Peoples’ Commission, or Integrated
Packaging in New Brunswick.

RHA boards: Residence Halls Association (RHA) boards

MOH: Medal of Honor, Molina Health Care, Ministry of Health (sg, ke, rw)
IPC in NB in 2025: okay so the focus for this year is handwashing. We are really emphasizing handwashing. The board wants the quarterly reports of the handwashing. Handwashing, handwashing, handwashing.
NBers: if you want healthcare to ALSO acknowledge airborne be LOUD! Write the RHA boards & MOH!

@openerv.bsky.social and @northboxsystems.bsky.social have been working on V-folded CR Box designs, posted on that other site. Me too. Here's the link: x.com/DtaGuy/statu...

@lazaruslong13.bsky.social I love your posts on the other place. You're one of the few people who reposts a lot that I follow, because you're a good curator of technical posts. But i hate going there to see your posts. If you'd post everything both places I'd follow you here & mute you there. 😀

Thanks so much for posting this! I was the engineer for the payload power supplies on all (7, I think) Lunar Orbiters. It was really thrilling when the pictures came back.
Loved this thread by @spacemarschall.bsky.social showing the location of the Apollo 11 lunar module. Wanted to find the same spot in Lunar Orbiter photographs, for a before/after. Here's the same location as viewed from Lunar Orbiter V on August 12, 1967.

More info in 🧵 (1/3)
