Today I walked 20 lengths of the porch and did 8 sets of side-steps on the front railing. I crunched up some peanuts for the little birds.

FDR became President in 1933 and immediately got to work. He closed banks ( since so many had failed). When he reopened them after they got their books in order, the $ was guaranteed by the US Treasury. He also made many work programs.

Franklin D Roosevelt became a NY Senator and also contracted polio. He was afraid people would not elect a polio victim as President. He worked hard to walk with a cane and lean on people so that it wasn't obvious that he couldn't walk
