Sorry I said “quarter to quarter” earlier and meant “year over year” but was also talking quarterly stuff with my SO and my thumbs went faster than my brain.

Ghostwire sequel was slated for next year too so wasn’t Tango I think. Not mobile. Really having a time with this one.

Indy and Doom too close for it to be them. Blade (licenced IP game) and Dishonoured 3 were next FY so that rules out Arkane. ES6 too, not that Bethesda proper has bandwidth for 4 IP. Smaller ZOS project (non MMO thing?) or BGS-affiliate project? Or contracted project for some reason?

I imagine both are cancelled, and likely Kestrel was the ZOS title that seemed ambitious. Platinum is harder to nail down; smaller forecast, big drop quarterly. Smaller than an oblivion remaster forecast. Single player game, not a remaster. Roundhouse or another Bethesda studio? Not Machine or ID.

Think about the parts that made Halo CE great: throwing a grenade into a group of grunts, downing an elite with a melee in the back, etc. The improvement to the formula wasn’t a massive world with lots of enemies, it was smaller drops of enemies to do that more often, and it worked.

Here’s the thing that gets me with this: Steam and Itch complied. They didn’t fight it, they didn’t push back, they just listened. Shouldn’t they also be on blast for this? Are they willing to be on the wrong side of history?

All companies are the same, some are just better at the optics when they make it happen. Some come up with an elaborate backstory and excuse, others lie through their teeth. None can be trusted.

My heart goes out to all those affected by corporate greed today.
