It’s strange that Congress has to force the president to release the files, especially since he could have done it on his own at any time. And even now, after all this, he still has to sign the very bill that compels him to do what he could have already done himself.

It feels like something shifted. Nearly every Republican in the House just voted to release the Epstein files, even though Trump clearly wants them buried. Maybe they are finally tired of his threats and pressure, and this was the moment they chose to stand on their own.

Even if we pretend Trump is not directly named in the Epstein files, which is hard to believe, plenty of others are. And those people are still walking free because the truth is being buried.

It feels like everything in government, policy and national direction is bending around protecting the Epstein files. That is how hard Trump and many in Congress are working to keep them sealed.
