I went outside with my 2.7 inch telescope and took a picture with my cell phone through the eyepiece. Jupiter and three of it's moons. Not nasa quality but it's mine and exciting that I experienced light coming straight from the planet

I was inspired by all of the Jupiter pictures and busted out my little 2.7" telescope. Jupiter was about the size of the tip of a pen but I could actually make out the two central bands and for a few small moments of clear conditions I swear I saw the dark section near the poles!!!
