not normal. I've had them close the doors ~10 minutes early once before (at the Cville station in undergrad) but they immediately opened a door for me when I asked the platform attendant. plus we sat there for another 10 minutes anyway.

I felt ambivalent until I saw binstock post a “going ✈️ sotheby’s”-style IG story from the amtrak ride to the sales with an animated sotheby’s logo flashing across the image 😬 like read the room.

but I also realize it’s not super fair to endow people’s offhand IG stories with deep meaning.

(to be clear I don't have a strong opinion on these deaccessions, but that's also because I know how many works by these artists are still in the collection)
