You didn't get a vote. You got a "promise" of a vote. From a party who is disappearing nannies & gardeners and zip-tying children. A party who has flushed Due Process in America down the toilet. Who has subjugated its Congressional duties to an autocrat. That's what everybody sees, Tim.

I have a wonderful bridge. When the government reopens, would you be willing to buy it from me?

Lucy has assured me that she will hold the football down this time so that I can kick it without falling on my ass. She's assured me that she's willing to work with me.

all of the calls for "moderating on trans issues" are just an excuse to launder the author's own bigotry into the political sphere

what this means politically is that there is simply not a big cost to doing the right thing and standing up for trans people
if you run a campaign based on affordability while supporting trans rights and your opponent runs a campaign based on transphobia, voters will prefer yours

It's hard to expect all the kids in a class to be able to hand-write stuff. Not in a "back in my day we were made of stronger stuff" way, but in a "for many students a computer is an invaluable communication tool" way. I've heard DigiExam is great for in-class essays, though.
