and criticism of that project management is not criticism of them as a person. as a zine mod, you're taking on a duty to your contributors - to advocate for them and ensure that their donation of time, effort, and care is not disrespected or devalued.

100% showing their true colors. its just funny to me bc people have been warning about this for ages and others have dismissed it. i want to know what excuse they'll use to explain this

its so crazy to me they think people cried to WOTC when WOTC/Hasbro has a KNOWN HISTORY of going after this shit. like c'mon, they sent the Pinkertons after a random dude, they dont need anyone to tell them about this project for them to find out

i had a bad feeling that they were using MSF/the project being "for charity" as a shield from criticism and now i'm even more certain

YEAH and also being professional is like. in my opinion, the bare fucking minimum and it doesnt exempt you from doing bad things

but pulling up the shield of 'it was all for charity, so our mismanagement and mistreatment of our contributors was justified' has worked so well for them thus far, so i'm ultimately unsurprised they've stuck by - or, rather, behind - it.

agreed, like i have a friend who had a pretty bad experience there (they ended up dropping the project) and this is without counting the many other people who also spoke out against the mod team. i guess being nice to you means they're wonderful (not you YOU, but you get it)
