I don’t know why his rep stayed pristine for as long as it did. The Cubs should have fired him after 2018, and frankly they should have fired him after/during the “hangover” in 2017. 100% believe if Theo signs Scherzer instead of Lester and Tito instead of Maddon they have at least one more ring.
