Either often OR never. It can't be both.

Too bad. I would imagine you could have had a really good crowd here, as the AAA Network in the greater Victoria area is very good.

Luckily for you it's maybe 200 m long, so you'd be fine.

Seems like you'd have a case for compensation, Even if it meant taking them to court, or at the very minimum a residential tenancy Branch hearing.

There isn’t enough gold on it.

We're just glad the timing worked that we ended up buying before the rent increase. It's just plain greed to be raising rent when the market is down. What makes it worse in our case is when we moved in we had about 3 weeks of on and off heat/hot water, landlord was too cheap to replace the tank.

We've bought a place in Colwood. A little further out than we originally planned but the affordability makes it a good decision and it's really only about 15 km from where we live now.
We actually moved to the CRD a year ago already.

I've heard nothing but bad things about them. For our imminent move we have contracted Ouch My Back! They're very well rated online so hopefully it pans out well.

With my kids who are both adults and fully capable of making their own decisions, I've had to let go of being judgy about this stuff with my younger son. He has continued to go down to the US for social trips.

Agreed 100%. . We do anything in our power to avoid buying anything from the US. Sadly that includes buying produce from further away if necessary and we don't really feel good about that.

Not just that, but their border issues are still a real problem for some people. People get detained, and worse, arbitrarily for simply doing something they have historically done with ease. Why would anyone want to risk that?

It's not just shingles and RSV. As someone who became immunocompromised by losing their spleen in April 2024, I needed five new vaccines, and all together I had to pay around $300 to $400.

That wasn't a difficult guess but I got all three correct.
