I grew up catholic with much more of the Sermon on the Mount Christianity; most of what I see now is the emphasis on the Old Testament and strict adherence to rules, especially for women and children.

Yes. But I was really struck by the plethora of testimonies of,nearly always, fathers beating their kids and claiming it to be biblically sanctioned.

Hey Joe: I wish I was going some place exotic; but I split my time between Denver and Alamosa and I was just flying back to Alamosa after catching a ride to Denver.
