I was going through my moms and dads old pictures and found this of the 490th bomber group. I think from 1944. At this rate, I'm never going to finish cleaning the third floor. I added a little history on the 490th as an attachment.

While in Palermo, we stayed within 100 yards of Porta Felice. I took pics from the front and back of the structures and found a picture of when the structures were bombed during WW II. They were rebuilt after the war, as you can see.

While working disasters, I'd try and attend local races. In TX waiting track prep to finish, I called home to check on the family. They picked my number and won a shirt. I quickly hung up to get the shirt. Got the cold shoulder when I called later. I still have the shirt and the family 😃

We got back from Sicily three weeks ago. Just started on this site, so I wanted to share some pics from the trip. Sicily is so warm and inviting. The sites and people we met were amazing.
