I find these pictures surreal too - I wish I knew the location. I would guess some roadside attraction where they had domesticated the deer. These appear to be from a family road trip in 1958, but the location is bound to remain a mystery to me.

Good morning. It's a rainy Saturday here and I'm regretting yesterday's decision to take pictures of the leaves instead of raking them before they got soggy.

This is the other interesting camera I found when digging through the camera box: a 1957 Kodak Duaflex IV.
When I opened it up to take pictures, I discovered that it appears to have film in it. Can someone from the #BelieveInFilm crowd tell me if this looks like it's already been exposed?

I'm stuck wondering what happened to the negatives from this camera. I found a handful of odd-sized negatives in our archive - larger than 120, inconsistently sized (probably physically cropped). Maybe they were shot with this camera. Going to have to ask the cousins if they have any old negatives.

Do you remember any of the authors? My Mom loved romance novels. We've probably got around 3000 or so paperbacks boxed up. 99% of them aren't worth enough to sell. I inventoried them during the pandemic, so it's easy to search if you're looking for anything specific.

I guess this was probably my Great-Grandfather's camera. It was stuck in my Mom's nostalgia trunk for years. I moved it to the box with the camera stuff & forgot about it.
I have no idea how I would even go about using this to take pictures. Maybe a future project.
