NOMAP groups would have emerged in the 90s, if pedophiles had a clean break from the GLB movement 15 years earlier when it first became obvious some gays wanted to attend church, join the army and raise children.

Instead, they had to create their own support structure, which takes decades.

Radical pride could have been established as early as the 1970s, or shortly after when orthodox gays started begging for marriage rights, wholesome ownership of children, jobs in the military.

You could have had something like radqueers in the 80s.

One of the major failures of the LGBTQ+ or GLB "project" was its assimilation politics.

They failed to create a space for more marginalized groups to exist in, even when it was clear from the 1980s with AIDS and Save Our Children, that many gays would push ahead with a clean rebrand.

The "LGBTQ+ community" is full of anti-queer bigots (Cantor skirting dangerously close to being one) They would not welcome pedophiles, nor be capable of conditionally tolerating them.

I also don't want pedophiles rejoining an "LGBTQ+" movement as recommended by that moron, Cantor. I know gay people - it would be a disaster, even if it were possible.

The potential for harm is too great - Cantor is gay, how is this not obvious to him?

I actually agree with these brain-dead libs, that even the most bigoted gays deserved a punt as "assimilating" themselves or whatever, without pedophiles, BDSM, kink, leather or whatever they found "problematic".

It's better to have those attitudes out in the open.

It's totally their fantasy, as they can't bear to acknowledge that liberals are just as gutless and reactionary as them.

If I went to a gay bar and tried to explain to some customers what MAPs were, 90% wouldn't know what I was talking about.

100% would be horrified if they did.

It is an act of gaslighting on the part of conservatives like this moron.

They are basically acknowledging that the pedophile-rights movement failed (why else would they weaponize it?)

But then play dumb to the fact by LARPing this imaginary future in which liberals are 100% on board with them.

The only account I have not had banned covering CSA topics was an anti-cop X account that made nasty and violent slurs against "pedo" cops. Not advocating for violence, but really nasty language.

And it's not like any of these other accounts were uncivil, apart from the one that was not banned.

I could write from personal experience - this I hope is different to doing child abuse stuff based on secondhand research.

I was a sex worker. I am not a pedophile, or someone with CSA.

When it concerns some group you are not a member of, it is very easy to be accused of "defending" them.

Is there any audience for well-researched writing on lived experiences of former sex workers? Or is this passé?
