I am feeling a re-read of Night's Master by Tanith Lee coming on. I first read it in a day and a half on my honeymoon, which is about the strongest recommendation I figure I can give a novel. I first learned about this book when I Googled "books like The Silmarillion." That's also a mark in favor.
