What an evil regime.
BREAKING: Emails given to Congress by DOJ whistleblower reveal new details about the Abrego Garcia fiasco. They show how Trump officials searched for ways to paint him as a dangerous criminal and gang "leader" and couldn't find any. But smears continued.

#DidYouKnow that the earliest document held by Kent Archives is quite possibly the oldest possessed by any county repository in the United Kingdom? 📜👀

It's a charter issued by King Wihtred granting freedom from taxation to the churches and monasteries of #Kent, AD 699

I’m going to say this again

The president is taxing American consumers to try to do a favor for one of his political allies
As usual, I think Brian is right about Brazil. Its economy isn’t very reliant on exports to the US, its judiciary operates quite independently of politics and Lula will be eager to stand up to a foreign bully. Brazil already trades more with China than with the US; tariffs deepen that relationship.

Who Israel ever be properly challenged on their appalling behavior?
“Israel’s blockade — and the deliberate delays, denials and excessive security procedures that surround it — is not just a failure of logistics. It is an engineered system of deprivation,” writes Sean Carroll, the president of American Near East Refugee Aid, from Amman, Jordan.
Opinion | This Is the Moment of Moral Reckoning in Gaza
Our clinics have found clear evidence of starvation in one-third of the population. And now Israel wants to take over aid.

My theory of the case is that the picks so far lack any ability or desire to present any kind of alternate to his impulses. Marco would huff Trump's ass and say it smells like honeysuckle and rainbows, and he's arguably the most independent of the bunch so far. (Not saying much, I know.)

I find Dawson quite naive, in that bookish academic way, and his atheism is defended very arrogantly. I am no theist, absolute hardstop with no room left for discussion makes for a very boring conversation.
Hadn’t pegged Dawkins for literally the stupidest person in the world, but this is an immediate first ballot contender for dumbest sentiment ever committed to print.

This is interesting because it gives with an idea I heard that's kind of key to understanding US politics -- many people aren't voting for president based on policy, but rather as someone they'll be sharing their breakfast table with for four years.
I didn’t think I could want it more.
