I agree a year is not long at all, but it is a fifth of his parliament and easily enough time to move away from the 'immigrants = bad' approach.. Labour cannot beat Farage with this race to the bottom - Farage is already digging through the 4th level of hell. They need to show compassion is better

What Dan says, 100%. Starmer has ad over a year to come up with a way of distancing himself (and Labour) from this god awful rhetoric with sound, compassionate policies, but hhe as just chased the racist vote. You cannot beat Farage at his own game, you have to be a better human being.

I am not the most eloquent person but I believe that by allowing asylum seekers to work would remove a line of attack which the right wing hang on to - they are just sponging and not contributing to the country. If they were allowed to work, this disappears so quickly.

I know the answer, but why didn't journalists immediately say 'where is your evidence?'. And then keep asking until Frogage either backs down, loses his temper or (as is most unlikely) provides said evidence.

It's each to their own. We are not all cut from the same template. For example, whilst I am also a British man of a certain age, I love Dr Who but I truly hate Oasis (dull, dull, dull) and tea (coloured tasteless water).

I agree to a point. She is either mentally unwell or she is being manipulated to say these inane things by someone with a very specific agenda. Either way, somebody should step in and give her the help she needs.

It was not fiery, it was a petulant child who can barely hold a coherent thought in their head attacking something they have no concept of. The US is governed by man-babies, they are going to royally screw up their own country and unfortunately the rest of the world is not immune

I'm British and I used to struggle with this. Now I go with a good solid 'morning' up to about 11am and then it's 'hello' after that. The trick is never say nothing. What puzzles me is, when I am at HQ in Austria, when is mahlzeit used instead of servus - my colleagues seem to interchange at will!
