I’m sad I don’t have an opportunity to go watch it in 70mm when it comes back into those screens next week, the sound systems in proper IMAX are incredible and what this film deserves.

It’s a fantasy film more than science fiction, but I think both of those are weird genre identifiers for it. It’s a horror film most obviously, but really I think it’s a musical.

I really hope that it doesn’t get franchised the shit out of, I wouldn’t mind a sequel set in the 90s that explores the early rap culture that follows those two from the mid credits scene (no spoilers here), but only if Coogler really wants to make it.

I’m not culpable but I get why it happened, it’s hard to not talk about every single little thing in this film so you can sing it’s praises endlessly (main draw of being a Vampire for me would be to spread the Sinners agenda eternally)

100%, after my first watch I was convinced it was the cinematic event of the year, now after two I’m pretty sure it tops the decade. Utterly incredible stuff, I really hope Hollywood learns the right lessons from the film 🤞

It wasn’t divisive in the gaming community at large but in the Yakuza circles, Infinite Wealth got a lot of hate but for me it’s my joint favourite in the series along with 7 and easily in my top 10, if not top 5, favourite games OAT.

I get where you are coming from 100%, but the sentiment I’ve got is not simply the fact that it’s a departure from Eternal but more so that it’s a departure in ways that make it a worse FPS, in their eyes, and Eternal is a valid and reasonable point of comparison because it IS a sequel.

-types of games in different ways and that is totally fine, you just need to read the reviews and figure that out on an individual review level, much like checking sources when you read the news. Every method of reviewing these games is valid, but it tends to lead to less overall agreement on score.

I think this is more a problem of review aggregation than game critique, and I don’t think that critics need to review on the same metrics to make aggregation work better, high scores are indicative of a game that scores well no matter the scale used, and different reviewers will review these (1/2)

100% the Xbox 360 era. The kids games for that console were ELITE, especially toys to life. I’m so sad that only lasted such a short time looking back on it.

GMT is such a mixed time zone. Usually, for things like Nintendo Directs or Summer Game Fest, we get the actual sane times to watch stuff, but all actually important events happen past midnight on GMT, which is very inconvenient. Because that’s what REALLY matters.
