Here to add one more small voice to the fight to protect democracy, and maybe share a picture once in a while to take your mind off things for just a minute.

Happy Trans Day of Visibility!

It was founded in 2009 by Rachel Crandall Crocker in Michigan and is now celebrated in countries around the world.

Visibility saves lives, gives voice to the voiceless, and offers joy and hope where scarce.

I thank God I’m trans. It’s a gift and a soul’s commission.

On Transgender Day of Visibility, we celebrate Minnesota’s transgender community and recommit to standing up for our neighbors in the face of hatred.

As your Governor, I’m proud to stand in this fight with you.

Trans rights are under attack.

On Trans Day of Visibility, I want our transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming community to know: New York has some of the strongest laws to protect you in the nation. We see you, we value you, and we will never stop fighting for you.

Women don’t wait for change, we make it. We’ve broken barriers, made history, and fought for justice every step of the way. Today, we honor the women who came before us and keep pushing for those who will come after. The fight isn’t over. Let’s get to work.

Stopped at Conowingo Dam for a few hours yesterday. Most of the eagles were WAY over on the other side of the river, in the trees and on the rocks. But a couple were on our side of the river in the trees along the walking trail, having a snack away from their peers... #birds

This is a mōlī (Laysan Albatross) chick who fledged from Kīlauea Point NWR last summer. It’s one of the few protected seabird colonies in the main Hawaiian islands. The entire biologist team (+ their only facilities management person) at this NWR was fired with no warning yesterday.
