I am reading "Nudism in a Cold Climate" about the early naturist movement in Britain by historian Annebella Pollen at the moment, and I can really recommend it.

The first time I told friends about me being a naturist was, when we were visiting a sauna together. So, I knew they didn't have a problem with nudity in general. Later, friends usually learnt about it when we talked about holidays. Some were surprised, but I faced no negative reactions at all.

I am more of a "fairweather naturist" as well. I have been hiking nude on warm spring days in March, and sometimes until October. But usually May-September is my "outdoor period". During winter I am usually naked at home only, or while visiting public spas and saunas.
