Anthony Burns, arrested May 24, 1854, in Boston, under the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850. Tried as property before being sent back to his owner. 50,000 people surrounded the courthouse. The Tuscaloosa, Revere Bell 1828, traveled through the Antebellum South. Cotton trading, northern benefactors veterans of the War of 1812, Miss.& Ala. Supreme court decisions, land grants, replevins, Texas independence, in the history of this Revere Bell.

Paul Revere and Sons produced 429 bells for churches, ships and some in Cuba used on plantations to announce work instructions. He was far more than an express rider. www.walkbostonhistory.com/revere-bells... The bell produced for Tuscaloosa and Sinapore are a most interesting study.
