It’s been a huge, rewarding undertaking, and it sets us up for many more years of building a more walkable, bikeable, and livable Nashville. Today, we're talking about our Theory of Change — in other words, what we need to do to reach our desired outcomes.

Over the past 12 months, we’ve been asking ourselves some big questions about our work: How do we make better streets? What should our priorities be going forward? And how can we invite more members into our movement?

Today, we’re proud to launch our Streets for People Framework.

Happy Thanksgiving from Walk Bike Nashville!
We’ve accomplished so much together this year, and we’re so grateful to our community for helping us make it happen. We hope you have a wonderful long weekend celebrating with loved ones — might we recommend a post-meal walk around your neighborhood?

Artist Leah Samuelson created a beautiful piece of art that will also help slow traffic on the street!

What would you paint in a street mural in your neighborhood?

Street murals are a great tool to make our streets safer and beautiful! We were proud to partner with Civic Design Center, Nashville DOT, Bridgestone, and Antioch Pike neighbors to help paint a bright, highly visible sidewalk extension near Wright Middle School.

Nine hundred people have died in traffic crashes in Tennessee so far in 2025. We grieve for these victims, and we join their families in calling for legislation to prevent more tragedies on our streets.
Join us Saturday for World Day of Remembrance for Crash Victims in Murfreesboro.

Drivers play an important role in keeping families safe on Halloween!

These tips are helpful year-round, but especially as kids take to the streets in higher numbers tonight.

Thanks for helping keep our streets safe. Happy Halloween!

As the leaves are changing, we want to celebrate the many street-level benefits of the mighty tree! Trees don’t just add color to our lives. They make streets safer, more beautiful places for people to enjoy.

What’s your favorite tree-lined street in Nashville?

Car-free streets? Bus lanes? Yes please!

We’re excited about the pilot projects bringing people-first street design to Broadway this month.

These are promising solutions on our city’s most visible street, and we hope they lead to long-term improvements and similar efforts around the city!
