Another example of this mentality is that it is very short-term even though we shout words like SUSTAINABILITY and SOLIDARITY. It is reminiscent of addiction. No thought at all about long-term consequences. Corps, politicians, media, influencers, you. All push away everything unpleasant.

The left argues almost exclusively through identity markers. So the opponents imagined intentions become the main course. And personality, i.e. which virtues they signal, which taboos they break, which things they did to break the Overton Window. The core is not factual issues or impact analyses.

Ask yourself, why are so many people easily duped? One reason is habit. Things are routine. Another is narcissism. Aiming for the truth is in conflict with being seen as a good person. As in a family where all is routine. Positions stuck. Dead before dead.

The media in the country I live in is quiet about USAID. The same people who said Biden was fine for our years. Then in June/July they began admitting he had issues. In January they act as if they always knew. They did not. They lied and switched as if they had not lied and gaslighted us.

The reason propaganda works is now at base twofold: people will not seek high-quality information and the indoctrinated notion of being a good person is in conflict with truth.
