Just trying to make my own happiness one weird hobby at a time.
And then I threw wool rug yarn into the depleted dye pot to use up whatever is left in there! I won't get a true black, probably more like a purple when all is said and done, but can't let good dye go to waste when I will use yarn of pretty much any color eventually.

When I say "fashion is my hobby" this is one tiny part of what I mean. Years ago, my husband bought me a vintage fur coat and silk dressing gown from a local thrift store. Obviously someone had donated their fabulous relative's estate. The dressing gown (currently in my dye pot) is silk

If this is true, the @barkbox.bsky.social can get fucked. They can go the way of target, but faster. They also did a Harry Potter box when JK was full terf.

@markwarner.bsky.social this is so interesting.

So very interesting. The more I watch dems work, the more I realize I'm likely not a democrat, even though I have voted blue no matter who since I turned 18. I've got a spine, and I expect my politicians to have one too.

No more donations to dems.

Today, I did my own full manicure. It's not perfect, but I'm happy. Next time will be a little bit better. Because we learn by doing. And learning is messy and imperfect. And if I'm going to have a bad manicure, I'd rather it be my own effort and not something I spent $100 on.

Hey! Don't be Pete. Pete is behaving like an asshole. Pete should've been taught to keep their mouth shut about people's diets. Especially when no one asked Pete.

Don't come police my diet. Unless you got a medical degree in autoimmune disorders and ppl with a history of ED. Then MAYBE you can.

Foods I will likely have to miss one day as an average American living through Trump's regime. (A series) Today's is silken tofu with chili crisps. It's one of my favorite spoiling myself breakfasts. Can only get silken tofu at the international market near me.

Here is the finished project that was the boned bodice! I wore it to a wedding last night and it was perfect. The wedding was outside in NH, and I'm a southerner. So I ended up wearing the fur, bc while the sun was lovely, the wind was biting. Patterns were Gertie's Lamour/Elsa

Fenrir would like to know how she, too, can get into politics. She is very good at making people happy.She is a super strong supporter of VA State Parks, and the only tax she knows is the cheese tax. Pls vote for fenrir.

I need a good alternative for Adobe for businesses. I need to be able to edit, make and sign pdfs. I have paid for Adobe for years, because of ease of use and integration, but that ends now. Share some alternatives with me, pls. I want to play around with them before Adobe gets paid again.

Ended up with 3 pints for storage and a 1/2 liter weck jar for the fridge. Cost is approximate, bc I don't remember how much I spent on the sugar. We don't use it much and I buy it in bulk on sale. But approx. 65oz of strawberry jam for around $12. I own the jars, so did not include them in the cost

Reserved a room and came to the library to sew, today. Hoping that people join me. But if not, that's okay. This is my form of making soup. Showing up. Being here. Creating space.

Last step! At least, last step for me. I am out sourcing the hemming part. Floor length plus heels makes it difficult for me to hem by myself. But just hand sewing in the lining to go! And when my shoes get here, I'll make an appointment with the tailor.

Finally free from the car dealership. Jesus. My car is still not fixed. I just spent 5.5 hours sitting there for nothing. But in good news, I was able to come up with a solution for capping the spiral steel boning. Whether it lasts through wearing, IDK. But it seems like a better solution.

My car's ac isn't blowing cold. So at the dealership to have it looked at. (Yeah, IK but European cars are annoying so dealership it is.) They estimated 2.5 hours. Glad I brought my knitting. This is my adventure knitting project. It has been camping and backpacking all year long.
