Remember about 20 years ago when everyone was all riled up about Mosques and how they were sure they were teaching their kids to grow up and be radical terrorists right under our noses? I guess we should have been more focused on the churches doing that.....

And if states decide they don’t want to do that, what then? What happens if states can’t afford to take on those costs that were previously covered by the federal government? Everybody likes the “idea” of reducing the size of govt, until the reality hits.

I’ve met Josh on a handful of occasions at concerts. Despite not having any reason to engage me or give me the time of day, he’s always been more than willing to chat with a fellow Okie and Red Dirt fan. Add in the fact that his writing is fantastic and I think OSU made a great choice.

I think Dems truly underestimated the number of Americans that only want to try and hurt brown people. It’s a shockingly high percentage of the populace. This is who “we” are.
One of the most difficult reckonings of this election is that the incentives we thought inspired voting choices - a better life for your family etc - may not be as decisive as the desire to inflict cruelty on outgroups. Explanations that don't grapple w/this point read to me like liberal wishcasting
