Incidentally, I once had this talk with a Canadian friend. They were baffled that jobs had anything to do with healthcare. As any sane person in a first world country should be.

By the way, I’m self employed. The backbone of America or some shit. Seriously, if you want to encourage small businesses, fix healthcare. I might have to go work for the man in time. Why? Because healthcare.

Do I have a crystal ball that can predict this? No. But do I have to decide now because there are deadlines? Yes. Can I change things later if my needs change? No.

Health care in this country is such a mess and requires gambling on the odds (which are unpredictable) or clairvoyance. It’s sick.

My dad, eighty next week, was so upset by J6. And he said the same.

Read this at work today and it’s hard to comment there. But: awwww. I’m so glad you and Anne got some time together. That’s lovely.

I had this thought later and hoped I didn’t come off like an asshole.

But frankly, even if you didn’t know this, there’s no shame in that. We all have those weird knowledge gaps and things we just have wrong for decades that somehow fall through the cracks.
