Yeah, absolutely. But as an example, the only way to prevent a few folks from getting disabled placards they don't need is to be much more stringent in the process to get one. The result would be A LOT of folks who need them & and can't get them. This is a thing we do as a society all the time.

I agree with your point but shaming of folks who have those and don't "look" disabled is already a problem. I am visibly disabled now (I use a rollator), but early on I got a several snide remarks from folks who felt qualified to know whether I needed the parking spot or not.

Anything you put in place to catch those "flagrant abusers" will inevitably put more roadblocks up for eligible folks. It's how this works in the real world.

As far as the "make an example of them" punishments, at least as many "I just suck at paperwork" people will get shamed. Probably more.

It really is the only solution to the "problem" you're addressing. It's the same thinking process that means my great niblings can't keep food and medical aid because their Dad is really bad at the administrative nightmare.

Much more original. I was an early adopter of this (20 years ago), but mine was Kidlet, now referred to very creatively as Adultlet.

Yes. Like serious answer here. It's a horror show right now.

I was like that, but in the opposite of the poster up above I finally overcame it with a Wooble kit. It wasn't the kit, it was the videos that did it. They start at clueless, which was exactly right for me.

I learned to crochet 2 years ago at age 61 with a Wooble. I am now on cabled blankets so it does work for some.

Wonder if any relation to Outerbridge Horsey. Fun fact: I've worked with a descendant of this guy named Outerbridge Horsey VII (Google Outerbridge Horsey Associates).

I think if you told all their AI options to suck eggs long ago it kept this off. At least that was the case on all 4 of my gmail accounts. I went in and checked and the features were still off on all of them.

Absolutely should be enough to get disbarred. "Just following orders" is not a famously effective defense.

It really is. That's what I meant in the other thread (moar dog!) about the pool of existential dread. It can feel like such a chore just to exist.

Awwwwwww! Give him a head scratch from me.

Please post about the dog and the sky. And the dog. No, more about the dog.

Seriously we all need to stay sane and not become fully immersed in a never-ending pool of existential dread.

I like it. Adds emphasis.

I do stress "everything is food". We should find a way to average ourselves because the stress seems to be here to stay
