Imagineer finally scored a decisive legal win against that insane Spanish dude who was squatting on the EU Medabots trademark www.imagineer.co.jp/news/article... 🇯🇵 dude registered in 2018, unsuccessfully sued them(!) for infringement in '21, lost a '23 appeal & lost their final appeal on October 29

So like, what alternative communities are out there for RHDN?

Think I'm close to the end of ZA. I definitely enjoy it more than PLA. The city is small but dense, and there's a lotta little things and honestly the rooftop jumping grew on me.

The day/night transition sucks though. It annoys me way more than I thought it would.

Does anyone know if there's a way to access Google Street View panoramas made before 2012, or an archive of sorts? Looking into specific location and can find screenshots of GSV panos of said place existing at the time (~2009), but official apps only go as back as 2012 these days, so really curious

I generally like Apple stuff but trying to sync music on my PC with an Apple Music subscription is like pulling teeth.

The Windows version of iTunes doesn't support security keys, and iCloud with Apple Music doesn't properly sync up local files. What a dogshit experience.

Damn I wish I could go start a lil venture to disassemble and translate obscure titles and push them onto modern platforms.

Unfortunately if I left my job I'd probs just die.
note the legals: LRG's using Japan's arbitration system for orphaned games to reissue Little Samson—if you can demonstrate that you've made a genuine effort to contact/identify a potential rights owner to no avail, you can legally commercialise an old game by paying royalties to the JP govt, which…

I've fallen into the rabbit hole of typesetting and I might go re-format all the text in patches I've worked on before to incorporate Knuth-Plass.

For the amount of time I put into Hollow Knight and Silksong you'd think I'd be good but nope I just spend hours dying to the same fight in new and exciting ways.

Silksong is fun and this diagonal jump is going to take some getting used to, but the most jarring change is having a MC who talks.

Woah, when did RHDN open submissions up again?
September 14, 2025 at 3:35 PM
The push for on-demand content is generally better than the old cable programming approach, but the lack of reruns really drives a bias towards recency... a lot of people won't be exposed to some cool-but-not-quite-masterpiece works as a result.

Anyway, I think more people should watch Last Exile.

Forced to use Win11 at work because of Win10 deprecation and my god how did Microsoft just make an OS that was more restrictive and less responsive. Feels like XP -> Vista.

The forced TPM 2.0 requirement implies that BitLocker is more secure now? Are less people getting hit by ransomware on Win11?

Current hobby is getting irrationally angry at apps that don't properly clear their notification badges on iOS.

GitHub gonna train on the code I push up? Go ahead.

Having to parse through AI slop based on my Python will elevate the next generation of reverse engineers to never before seen heights.
August 13, 2025 at 6:34 AM
It took hours of staring at raw bytes and writing hacky Python to parse it, but seeing that cmp -l with no issues after rebuilding a scripting engine is that special type of nerdy exhilaration I crave.

Finally feel like I can justify finishing up that Mina the Hallower demo now.

Probably the last big thing for #medabots 3 - the localized version of the patch (sans audio).

Lots of work went into this from a lot of people, so hope you all enjoy!

I need to find an alternative to RHDN but, for now, it'd be helpful if people could share this around.

Was trying to figure out which of my projects to pick back up and the world sent me a sign with all the subtlety of Truck-kun isekai-ing a random passerby.

Man I wish the Helck anime was better so more people would read it and Volundio.

It's so full of soul.

Maybe one day we'll see a proper English localized physical edition instead of it being relegated to whatever Comikey is doing with it...

I wonder what Biggie Smalls played on his Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis.

Personally I think people buying and selling loose Pokemon Emerald for 70$+ deserve to be flogged but maybe I'm just in the extreme.

Does anyone know if my Fantasy Life i save will still work between my Switch 2 and Lite if I have the Switch 2 version...?
