It’s actually getting concerning how quickly people are creating lies around internet drama and how quickly people are believing those lies because the person involved in the drama can’t just be wrong about something, they have to be a horrible/idiotic person as well so the other side is justified.

So I don’t want to weigh in too much on the Ophelia discourse, but I will say that if you are approaching Shakespeare with the idea that there is a definitive interpretation of his work, you need to read more of what Shakespeare scholars have written.

I still don’t believe most/all of the Epstein conspiracy stuff, but i do think that this has been handled in a way that demands answers. Mostly, I think the answer is “authoritarian shitbags refuse to admit to even a minor mistake or modicum of wrongdoing.”
But even that is vital for folks to know.

Saw Jurassic World Rebirth last night. My favorite part was when the father broke his leg then spent the rest of the movie without a broken leg… The action scenes were good though.

What’s nice about being roommates with a nursing major, is that when we’re watching a tv show, I can turn to and ask, “would a stab there really kill you that quickly?” And the answer is pretty much always no follow by how you’d at worst go into shock.

Sometimes I do wish I created a twitter account in its heyday because of the funny screenshots that get shared around, because BlueSky just doesn’t have the same energy to it, but on the other hand my tendency to doom-scroll on would probably be the death of me on that app.

I haven’t played a modern Nintendo game unless it was with friends who own a Switch, but unironically the two things that have made me debate getting a Switch are the Pokemon games and Tomodachi living the dream.
