Reading, procrastinating, and no longer living out of a backpack in places both familiar and foreign, because it's (still) a damn pandemic. Mercenary educator. She/her.

There’s a lot in here that deserves a pull quote, but this is the most egregious. I need people to recognize the gravity of the situation here in Chicago;

Gov Scott started so strong early in the pandemic, but that didn’t last. I don’t follow as closely as I should, living out of state but, as a rule, I don’t trust his appointees.

As if we aren’t already asking enough of our educators, they may now be a direct bulwark against government-directed militarized forces:

Watching It’s A Wonderful Life with the family and can’t help but notice that even Pottersville had a public library.

Old Man Potter, the greediest and most cruelly capitalist of villains since Ebenezer Scrooge, allowed funding for a public service now beyond many contemporary communities.

And finally, this combo one ($1.76/test) doesn’t explicitly mention the newest subvariants but does specify omicron and its earlier subvariants.

This combination is pricier at $2.31/test, but still a steal all things considered. And still significantly better than any rapid around these parts.
