Yeah. It's just stupid in so many ways. Like why is Sean Penn the one who physically goes and finds them? Why don't these guys have drones? It's just an action movie trope where you have a dumb plot that necessitates the main characters being face to face over and over again

Am I the only person who hates this movie? I felt it's a missed opportunity to say something about authoritarianism. The first half of the movie I thought PTA was using satire in a thoughtful way (this dude There will be blood!), but by 3/4 in it turned out he was just doing a corny action movie
Finally got to see One Battle After Another, in a big Imax theater. My take [drum roll] ... the critical consensus is correct, it's really good! Shambolic Leo is my favorite Leo.
